Former Nigeria star, Victor Ikpeba has thrown his weight behind his ex-teammate, Finidi George, to take over the reins as Nigeria’s permanent head coach.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward is impressed of his former teammate’s performance against Ghana and Mail during the international friendly.
With Peseiro’s contract expired, George stepped in as the interim coach for Nigeria’s recent friendly games during the March International break.

Despite the loss, Ikpeba has thrown total support behind the Enyimba coach.
“I am happy with what Finidi is doing with the Super Eagles,” he said on SuperSports’ Monday Night Football show.
