Adams Usman, the coach of Nasarawa United, is brimming with excitement following his team’s qualification for the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoffs.
After facing relegation from the NPFL last season, the Solid Miners have defied expectations, taking significant strides towards reclaiming their position in the Nigeria topflight league.
Usman expressed his jubilation, attributing the team’s success to the unwavering support received from the Nasarawa State government throughout the regular season. He emphasized that this achievement is a testament to collective effort.
Speaking to the press, Usman stated, “I am overwhelmed because the people of Nasarawa State have always stood by us, especially the Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, his Deputy, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, the Supporters Club and the good people of the state.”
He continued, “I am so happy that, at the end of the proceedings, we are able to get a slot to play in the Super Eight Play-off. This is a collective victory.”
Securing the second position behind El Kanemi in the Northern Conference group A table, Nasarawa United has earned their place in the Super Eight playoffs, signaling their determination to ascend back to the top tier of Nigerian football.
