NPFL: Amapakabo demands improved performance from Abia Warriors’ players
By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors, Imama Amapakabo, has urged his players to intensify their efforts to achieve better results in their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches.
The Umuahia-based club has had a challenging start to the season, managing only one point from their first two games.
They suffered a defeat to Remo Stars in their opening match and secured a draw against Akwa United in Uyo.
Expressing disappointment with the team’s performance, Imama emphasized the need to regroup and fight for the remaining points in the league.
“I reminded my players that there are 114 points available this season, and after losing five points to Remo Stars and Akwa United, we still have about 108 points to play for,” he stated in an interview with Abia Warriors media.
“We are committed to fighting for every single one of them.”
Abia Warriors are set to face Sunshine Stars in Akure on Sunday, and the team is determined to turn their fortunes around.
