NPFL: Bendel Insurance confirms Benjamin Tanimu transfer to Tanzanian side Ihefu

Insurance FC will be without their experienced defender, Benjamin Tanimu for the second stanza of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season after completing a long term deal to top Tanzanian side, Ihefu FC

The 27-year-old centre-back was one of the longest serving players of Benin Arsenal haven being with the club for six seasons.

Tanimu was instrumental to the club’s promotion back to the apex league two seasons ago and also played a key role for Insurance as they lifted the Federation Cup in 2023.

On Monday, Insurance confirmed the deal, expressing their pleasure with the departure of Tanimu and wished him the best on his adventure in East Africa.

He has since been unveiled by Ihefu and expected to make his debut against Mtibwa Sugar FC in the Matchday 15 of Tanzanian Premier League.
