Sunshine Stars’ technical adviser, Kennedy Boboye, has revealed that one of the major challenges facing the club in the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season is the lack of a clear direction.

Ondo State Commissioner for Sports, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye had suspended the then General Manager of Sunshine Stars, Tunde Ogunja, as part of measures to reposition the club and Boboye emphasized that the club struggled to define its ambitions for the team.

Boboye urged the club’s supporters not to relent in their support for the team, stating, “I’m happy you came and I’m impressed with what you’ve done in the past few weeks.

I’m glad we are getting direction gradually because since my appointment, what the team lacked was direction. No one gave productive directives, but now things are taking shape,” he said during a courtesy visit by the Commissioner to the club.

Sunshine Stars are set to face Shooting Stars in Ibadan on Sunday for Matchday 32 of the NPFL.
