By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

For the first time since November 27, 2024, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) tastes defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Kwara United defeated the Ibadan Warlords 2-0 in a rescheduled NPFL match on Wednesday.

Two goals in either half from Kabiru Muhammed and Ojifinni Abdullahi lifted the Harmony Boys to victory.

The loss ended the Oluyole Warriors’ eight-match unbeaten run of seven wins and a draw.

It was the Gbenga Ogunbote’s side’s first loss since a 2-0 setback against Remo Stars in November.

The run also includes six straight victories, one of the longest in the league this season.

Despite the loss, 3SC maintained their second position on the log with 40 points, eight points behind leader, Remo Stars and two points better than Rivers United in third place.

Kwara United moved to eighth position with 32 points after 23 games.
