Odion Oghalo nets brace for Al Hilal to open five-goal gap ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo scored a brace for Al Hilal in their 2-0 victory over Al Khaleej in a Saudi Pro League encounter at the MRSOOL Park.
Ighalo has been in a superb form since he returned from injury, and continued with his brilliance against Al Khaleej on Saturday night.
Al-Hilal had chance after chance, but they could not find an opener until the 39th minute after a brilliant piece of footwork by Ighalo wriggling past defenders before releasing a thunderous shot with his weak foot.
Just before the break, he extended his team leads from the spot kick as the game ended with no addition.
With his man-of-the-match performance, the 33-year-old singlehandedly earned his side the maximum points.
With a game in hand, Al-Hilal are fourth on the Saudi log with 42 points from 20 matches – eight behind leaders Al-Ittihad.
The former Manchester United Striker has now been directly involved in more goals than any other player in the Saudi Pro League, netting 14 goals in 17 games with two assists to his name.
