OFFICIAL: Samuel Isife completes move to Slavia Praha on a five-year deal
By Oluwadamilola Olaleye
Nigerian defender Samuel Isife is set to become Slavia Prague’s newest signing in the winter transfer window, though he will first complete the autumn portion of the season with Dukla.
The 21-year-old right wing-back has committed his future to Slavia, signing a long-term contract with the club that runs until December 31, 2029.
“A young player with great potential. He has excellent running skills and great parameters. We believe he can challenge the competition on the right side of the defense,” Slavia sports director Jiří Bílek stated.
“We already knew about him during his time in Vlašim, he definitely won us over with his performances for Dukla. The final arrival will take place in the winter, he will remain at Juliska until the end of the autumn.”

Samuel Isife speaking on his move; “I’m excited to be playing here. I can’t wait to step out onto this beautiful stadium and leave my mark.

“I believe in my abilities, my talent and the direction I’ve set for myself. The leap from the second division is incredible, I thank God and myself that I can be here.”
Isife began his football journey with Nigerian side 36 Lion, a club well known for producing talents such as Peter Olayinka, Yira Sor, and Moses Usor.
His potential earned him a move to the Czech Republic in February, where he featured in 12 matches for Vlašim, scoring once and catching the attention of Dukla Prague with his consistent performances.

He made his Chance League debut on July 19, 2025, in a match against Karviná, and quickly established himself as a reliable starter, featuring in six more league games from the outset.

His standout moment came in the seventh-round clash with Hradec Králové, where he provided the assist for Jacques Fokam’s equalizer.

Now poised to join Slavia, Isife is regarded as an exciting young addition who combines defensive solidity with attacking drive down the right flank, and the club is hopeful he will continue his rapid development in Prague.
