Paul Onuachu scores brace in Genk’s fourth consecutive victory

Nigeria international Paul Onuachu scored a brace in Genk’s 6-1 annihilation of KVC Westerloo in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League encounter on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles striker had endured a barren spell in the opening games of the league but has now gotten into his strides and Genk’s victory at the Cegeka Arena on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive victory.
The ruthless league leaders scored five goals in the first half after Westerlo’s Nene Dorgeles was sent off.
Onuachu opened scoring in the 32nd minute after a cross from Joseph Paintsil and also scored in the 40th minute from the spot, thereby equaling his record of having scored in four consecutive games in three seasons.
Onuachu scored in seven consecutive games in the the 2020-2021 season and followed it up in the 2021-2022 season with four consecutive goals.
The goals means that Onuachu has now scored in four consecutive games in the Belgian league and the win keeps them on top of the table.
