Rio Ngumoha: Bayern Munich linked with Liverpool winger

England and Nigeria winger Rio Ngumoha is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old left winger joined Liverpool’s senior squad in July 2025 after moving from Chelsea’s youth set-up to Liverpool Under-18s for €3.2m in September 2024.

Ngumoha has made seven Premier League appearances this season, while starting all four of Liverpool’s Champions League matches and recording two assists. He has also started both of the club’s EFL Cup games.

The reported interest comes as Ngumoha’s market value is listed at €50m, although there is no indication that Liverpool have agreed to sell or that Bayern have made a formal offer.

Ngumoha, who was born in London, is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria. He has not made an appearance at the 2026 World Cup according to his current-season record.

His increased involvement in European and domestic cup fixtures has come alongside more limited Premier League minutes, where he has started 11% of Liverpool’s possible matches and played 23% of the available minutes.

The transfer link would take Ngumoha from the Premier League to the Bundesliga, but the winger remains a Liverpool player. His contract with the club runs until 30 June 2028.
