Rumour Mills: AS Roma eye January move for Ola Aina

Nigerian defender Ola Aina could be making a return to Serie A, with AS Roma reportedly preparing a January bid for the Super Eagles full-back.

The Giallorossi are looking to strengthen their defensive options and are targeting Aina as a potential solution. Roma are in need of experienced fullbacks, and Aina fits the bill, having previously played in the Italian top flight with Torino.

Aina’s contract with Premier League side Nottingham Forest is set to expire next summer, and while Forest are keen to extend the 28-year-old’s stay, Roma are ready to make a move. The Serie A club will need to offer between €12m and €15m to secure Aina’s services.

During his time at Torino, Aina made 113 appearances, scoring two goals and providing seven assists.
