Taofeek scores first 3SC goal as Ikorodu City hold Shooting Stars to 2-2 draw

Shooting Stars midfielder Otaniyi Taofeek scored his first goal for the club as the Oluyole Warriors earned their first away points of the EUROMATCH NPFL season in a 2-2 draw with Ikorodu City.

The 3SC player opened the scoring just three minutes into Sunday’s week 10 Southwest derby at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

Shooting Stars extended their advantage to 2-0, but Ikorodu City responded with two goals to secure a share of the points.

The Ibadan-based club had lost each of their previous four away fixtures before the match, scoring twice and conceding seven goals on the road. The result therefore ended their losing run in away matches this season.

3SC congratulated Taofeek on his breakthrough goal in a post on their X account.

> “A big moment for our midfielder, Otaniyi Taofeek as he nets his first goal for Shooting Stars in the Southwest Derby.”

Ikorodu City had gone into the fixture with a strong home record and had won their previous match in front of their supporters, beating Kwara United 2-0.

Despite taking a two-goal lead, Shooting Stars were unable to claim their first away victory of the campaign as Ikorodu City fought back to level the contest.
