Nigeria international Terem Moffi scored a brace in OGC Nice’s 3-1 victory over Lens on Saturday.

The Eagles had gone six matches without a win before securing a victory over their Ligue 1 opponent away from home.

Moffi opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a swift finish. The Super Eagles forward’s goal separated both sides before the break as they looked for more goals in the encounter.

Eight minutes into the second half, Khéphren Thuram doubled Nice’s lead with a strike.

Moffi extended the away side’s lead from the penalty spot in the 67th minute before Wahi pulled a goal back for the home side in the 76th minute.

The Nigerian forward has now scored three goals in four matches for The Eagles since his return from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Nice now have 43 points from 26 matches and will face relegation-threatened Nantes in their next game on Sunday, March 31st.
