Akwa United star, Endurance Ebedebiri has insisted that the club is ready to express their ambitions to achieve success against Kwara United.
Akwa United will be hosting the Harmony Boys in the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter on Sunday.
The Promise Keepers are yet to find their rhythm in the ongoing campaign, having recorded just a win and three draws with five defeats in their opening nine games.
Mohammed Babaganaru’s side are languishing at the bottom of the log with just six points.
Having arrived at the start of the season from Rivers United, Ebedebiri is not happy with the current form and has called on his mates to replicate their training perfections in the match.
“Our current situation as shown on the league table is really worrisome and we have to turn the corner as soon as possible,” Endurance told Akwa United’s media.
“It’s unbelievable that after playing nine matches this season, we are bottom of the table.
“In some of those matches we have played, the results did not really reflect the way we played and we know that we don’t have any excuse but to start winning games and that is why we have resolved as players that we are the ones to prove a point.
‘’As professionals it is our responsibility to put up our best for this team in every match to ensure we represent this club well, defend the badge and redeem its image.
“We have done a lot in training and we hope to replicate that during home and away matches. Our major concern is scoring and we are positive that we will get it right starting with this game against Kwara United at home this weekend.”
The match is billed for Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo by 4pm on Sunday.
