World Cup qualifier: Ticket prices set at ₦3,000 and ₦1,000 for Nigeria vs Rwanda

By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Fans eager to watch Saturday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will pay ₦3,000 for VIP seats and ₦1,000 for popular stands.

Ticket sales will begin Friday morning at designated outlets across Uyo.

The Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) Director of Marketing and Sponsorship, Alizor Chuks, stressed on Wednesday that strict measures will be enforced to curb ticket manipulation.

He revealed that the NFF Security Committee has declared “total war” on racketeers and counterfeit ticket sellers, with tickets set to be scanned electronically at the gates.

“All tickets will be scanned at the gates. We urge all intending spectators to purchase tickets only from accredited vendors. Fake ticket sellers or holders will be arrested and prosecuted,” Chuks warned.

Meanwhile, Rwanda’s delegation — led by newly elected FERWAFA president, Fabrice Shema Agoga — arrived at Victor Attah International Airport on Tuesday evening before checking into the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.

The Amavubi are scheduled to train at the Nest of Champions’ practice pitch on Wednesday afternoon as preparations intensify ahead of Friday night’s clash.
