2025 AFCONQ: Dele Bashiru and Moses Simon part of Super Eagles early birds in Cote D’Ivoire

Ahead of Matchday five of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers between Nigeria and Benin Republic, eight Super Eagles players have reported to camp.
Part of the early birds are goalie, Amas Obasogie, Raphael Onyedika, and Frank Onyeka.
FC Nantes star Moses Simon, Bruno Onyemaechi, and AC Milan ace Samuel Chukwueze are also in camp.
Gabriel Osho and Nigeria’s winning goal scorer against Libya, Fisayo Dele Bashiru complete the eight early birds.
More players are expected in camp on Monday night and Tuesday as the three-time African champions prepare to face the Benin Republic.
The encounter against Gernot Rohr’s side will take place at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on November 14 at 8:00 pm kick-off time.
Four days later, Rwanda visits Nigeria for Matchday Six, which will conclude the qualification series in Uyo.
With 10 points from four games, the Super Eagles top their group.
