Information quickly denied by the Uruguayan himself on his Instagram account, denouncing “fake news” from the newspaper: “Fake news! Hello everyone, I wanted to deny this fake news. This ‘alleged call’ never existed, and this man (Bartomeu) didn’t come to my house to watch a video, and there was no call from anyone. When I’m asked about a teammate I had (at Liverpool), of course I’m going to speak well of him. There is always news, but in this case I can’t pass up and deny it. It’s one thing to report an event/news, and that’s fine… But lying? No!” The message got through.
