Sodiq Awujoola: Nigeria striker switches clubs in Egyptian Premier League

Nigerian forward Sodiq Awujoola has secured a move to Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids FC.

Awujoola’s transfer comes after an impressive stint with Ceramica Cleopatra, another Egyptian club.

The 23-year-old versatile forward joins Pyramids on a season-long loan, with the option of a permanent transfer.

As part of the agreement, Mahmoud Zalaka and Fagrie Lakay will move in the opposite direction, joining Ceramica Cleopatra.

Awujoola initially joined Ceramica Cleopatra at the start of last season, transferring from Smouha.

During his time with Ceramica, Awujoola demonstrated exceptional form, scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists.

His contributions played a pivotal role in Ceramica’s triumph in the Egyptian League Cup, culminating in a victory over Tala’ea El Gaish in the final.
