NPFL: Kabiru Dogo unfazed by Kwara United’s poor form, confident of turnaround

Kwara United head coach Kabiru Dogo remains resolute in his belief that the club can overcome their recent struggles and return to winning ways in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Despite enduring two consecutive defeats, the experienced manager insists that he is focused on improving the team and turning around their fortunes.
The Solid Miners have been struggling to find form, failing to secure a win in their last two matches.
However, Dogo, who took charge of the team shortly before the start of the season, attributes the team’s inconsistency to their youth and the challenges associated with returning to the top flight after promotion.
“This is a young team that gained promotion back to the NPFL last season, so you can expect a bit of inconsistency from the boys,” Dogo explained, speaking to Daily Post. “I also joined the team a few days before the start of the season, but we have improved a lot.”
While acknowledging the team’s recent setbacks, Dogo remains confident that the Solid Miners will bounce back. He believes in the potential of the squad and is optimistic about their ability to recover from the two recent defeats.
“I’m confident we will get things right and recover from the two recent defeats,” he added. “The improvement is there, and we are working hard to make sure we turn things around.”
Kwara United currently sit in 17th place with 12 points from 12 games, perilously close to the relegation zone.
Their next challenge comes on Saturday, November 16, when they face fellow relegation-threatened side Akwa United in Uyo. A positive result in this clash is crucial if the Solid Miners are to avoid falling further down the table and stay in contention for safety.
As the season progresses, Dogo’s leadership and determination will be key in guiding Kwara United through this challenging phase.
