Flourish Sabastine seals win as Fenerbahce beat Trabzonspor

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria’s Flourish Sabastine was on target as Fenerbahce defeated Trabzonspor 2–0 in a Turkish Women’s Super Lig encounter on Sunday.

The hosts took an early lead just three minutes into the game when Marta Cox converted from the penalty spot after a foul inside the box.

With full time approaching, Sabastine ensured all three points for Fenerbahce, slotting home in the 90th minute to double the advantage.

The goal was the Nigerian forward’s fifth of the season, continuing her fine run of form.

Fenerbahce now sit joint top of the table on 18 points — level with Galatasaray — after six matches.

They will face Amed SK on November 8, 2025, as their title chase continues.
