Falconets cruise past Benin to maintain perfect start at WAFU B U20 Girls Cup

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria U-20 women’s national team continued their impressive form at the 2025 WAFU B U20 Girls Cup, recording a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Young Amazons of Benin to make it two wins from two games.

A brilliant brace from Ramotalahi Kareem in the 15th and 59th minutes set the tone for Nigeria’s dominance, before Precious Oscar added a late third in stoppage time (90+3’) to complete the rout.

The result cements Nigeria’s place at the top of the standings as they look to defend their regional dominance.

They had earlier defeated Ghana 3-1 in their opener.

Up next, the Falconets will face their fierce rivals, the Black Princesses of Ghana, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

This year’s WAFU B U20 Girls Cup is being played in a round-robin format, with each team facing one another twice to determine the overall champion.
