BK Häcken Back Halimatu Ayinde to Add Steel and Experience to Midfield

BK Häcken football director Martin Ericsson has expressed strong confidence that Super Falcons midfielder Halimatu Ayinde will bring added quality and competitiveness to the Swedish club’s squad following her arrival.

Ericsson described Ayinde as a highly experienced player whose presence will give Häcken an edge, particularly in midfield, thanks to her proven ability at the highest level of the game.

“It is a player with great experience who is joining us now,” Ericsson said. “Hali is qualified and knows what it takes to play at the highest level and achieve success.”

The Häcken director also highlighted Ayinde’s versatility and athleticism, noting that while she has been signed primarily as a defensive midfielder, she offers more tactical options.

“She is a fast player who is confident with the ball, signed as a six but who can also play in the defensive line,” he added.

Ayinde’s arrival is seen as a major boost for BK Häcken as they aim to remain competitive domestically and in Europe, with the club banking on her leadership, work rate, and experience to anchor the team.

Ericsson concluded by welcoming the Nigerian international to the club, saying: “We wish her a warm welcome to Bollklubben.”
