Wikki Tourists Accept Abdu Maikaba’s Resignation

Wikki Tourists FC have formally acknowledged and accepted the resignation of head coach Abdu Maikaba following a string of inconsistent results in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Maikaba submitted his resignation letter on Monday, bringing an end to his tenure with the Bauchi-based side amid mounting pressure over the club’s recent performances.

The development comes on the heels of Wikki Tourists’ dramatic 4–4 draw against Katsina United in their latest league fixture — a result that further intensified scrutiny on the team’s technical crew.

In a brief statement, the club confirmed that the coach’s resignation had been accepted and expressed appreciation for his efforts and contributions during his time in charge.

Wikki Tourists are expected to name an interim coaching setup in the coming days as they aim to stabilise their campaign and improve results in the league.
