States, FCT Submit Teams for 2026 President Federation Cup

All is set for another exciting edition of Nigeria’s oldest domestic football competition, the President Federation Cup, as states across the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have officially submitted their representative teams for both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
The competition, which continues to serve as a major platform for grassroots development and talent discovery, will feature a diverse mix of established clubs and emerging sides battling for national glory.
In the women’s category, traditional powerhouses such as Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, and Edo Queens return to the competition, each aiming to reinforce their dominance. They will, however, face stiff competition from ambitious sides like Remo Stars Ladies, Naija Ratels, and Sunshine Queens, among others.
Lagos will be represented by FC Robo Queens and Ghetto Tiger Ladies, while the FCT presents Naija Ratels and NAF FC. Other notable entrants include Nasarawa Amazons, Ibom Angels, and Rangers Women, highlighting the depth of talent across the country.
On the men’s side, top-tier clubs including Enyimba FC, Bendel Insurance, Rangers International, Kano Pillars’ representatives such as Barau FC, and Rivers United headline the entries. These established teams are expected to contend strongly, but the tournament is also known for its surprises, with lesser-known sides often causing major upsets.
Lagos-based Ikorodu City and G12 FC will fly the state’s flag, while the FCT features Sporting Supreme U19 and Sporting Supreme FC. Other notable teams include Lobi Stars, Wikki Tourists, Plateau United, and Kwara United.
The President Federation Cup remains a crucial competition in Nigerian football, offering clubs not only silverware but also a pathway to continental participation. Fans can expect thrilling encounters as teams from across the country compete for one of the most prestigious domestic titles.
With entries now confirmed, attention shifts to the draws and kickoff dates, where the journey toward crowning new champions will officially begin.
