With only two rounds left in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the league body has cautioned clubs against making any changes to the approved dates and kick-off times for Matchday 37 and 38 fixtures.
In a directive issued by the NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, clubs were reminded that all remaining matches must be played simultaneously to preserve fairness and maintain the integrity of the competition.
According to Owumi, all fixtures for the final two matchdays are scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm on the same dates.
“This decision is to ensure sporting fairness and to protect the integrity of our matches and results,” the memo stated.
The league management also warned clubs not to request adjustments to match schedules due to the unavailability of their home venues.
Clubs facing stadium-related issues were instructed to notify the NPFL of an alternative accredited venue no later than May 7, 2026.
The directive added that any club that fails to provide an approved alternative venue within the deadline risks having a venue selected by the NPFL.
The league further stressed that violations of the directive could attract severe sanctions, including the forfeiture of three points and three goals.
