Flamingos Thrash Guinea to Set Up Benin Showdown in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

Nigeria’s Flamingos delivered another dominant performance, defeating Guinea 6-0 in the second-leg of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie to seal an emphatic 11-0 aggregate victory.

The young Nigerian side took control of the contest early, with Oluwakemi Adegbuyi opening the scoring in the eighth minute before Chidi Harmony doubled the advantage in the 21st minute.

Queen Joseph added a third just two minutes later as the Flamingos overwhelmed their visitors with a relentless attacking display.

Harmony grabbed her second goal of the afternoon in the 34th minute, while Adegbuyi also completed her brace two minutes before halftime to give Nigeria a commanding 5-0 lead at the break.

Precious Oscar rounded off the scoring in the 70th minute to complete a comprehensive 6-0 victory at the Remo Stars Stadium.

Having already won the first leg 5-0, the Flamingos advanced to the third round of the qualifiers with an impressive 11-0 aggregate triumph.

Nigeria will now face Benin Republic in the next round as they continue their quest for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
