The Sporting Director of Niger Tornadoes FC, Mr. Mojeed Ibrahim, has unveiled the club’s strategic roadmap aimed at identifying, developing and exporting young football talents through the Niger Tornadoes Feeder Team as part of efforts to boost the club’s revenue and contribute to the economic growth of Niger State.
Mr. Ibrahim disclosed this during a training session at the Fomwan Football Field, attended by the Vice Chairman of the Management Committee, Alhaji Usman Garba, and members of the technical crew led by Coach Mohammed Ibrahim (Yellow).
He explained that the initiative is a major component of the vision of the Chairman of the Management Committee, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso, who is determined to reposition the club by transforming the feeder team into a structured talent development platform.
According to the Sporting Director, the feeder team will not only serve as a pipeline for the senior squad but also create opportunities for talented players to secure transfers abroad through partnerships with foreign clubs and football scouts, thereby generating sustainable income for the club.
In his remarks, the Head Coach of the Feeder Team, Mohammed Ibrahim, welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the technical crew’s commitment to delivering on the club’s objectives.
He revealed that the feeder team would uphold strict recruitment standards, with only players between the ages of 17 and 19 who meet the required physical and technical benchmarks eligible for selection.
The Niger Tornadoes Feeder Team is currently intensifying preparations for the maiden edition of the Bago/313 Prosperity Unity Cup.
