Ousmane Dembele sends message of support to injured Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has offered his support to team-mate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after the Georgia international suffered a serious knee injury during Tuesday’s Champions League match against Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Wednesday that medical tests had revealed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in Kvaratskhelia’s right knee. The club said the 25-year-old will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Kvaratskhelia was injured during Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-2 victory over Barcelona. The extent of the damage means he now faces a lengthy period of rehabilitation, leaving Paris Saint-Germain without one of their leading attacking players.

Dembele posted a message on his official Instagram account, writing: “Stay strong, Kvara.”

The injury is also a significant setback for Kvaratskhelia, who is determined to return stronger. Paris Saint-Germain have not provided a projected timeframe for his recovery.
