Fenerbahce consider January approach for Bursaspor striker Kelechi Iheanacho

Fenerbahce are preparing a potential January move for Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho after his strong start to life with Turkish second-tier club Bursaspor, according to reports.

Iheanacho joined Bursaspor last summer and has quickly become an important player for the club. The former Leicester City and Manchester City striker has scored 13 goals since arriving.

His form in front of goal has reportedly brought him to the attention of Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce, who are assessing whether to make an approach during the winter transfer window.

The Istanbul-based club are looking to improve their attacking options and are expected to pursue Iheanacho in January.

Any move would depend on Bursaspor’s position, with it still unclear whether the club would agree to release the Nigeria international midway through the season.
