Roma weigh €10m January move for Slavia Prague midfielder David Moses

AS Roma are considering a move for Nigerian midfielder David Moses, with the Serie A club monitoring the 22-year-old ahead of the January transfer window, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
Moses has emerged as a potential midfield target as Roma assess ways to strengthen their options in the centre of the pitch. Transfer expert Ekrem Konur reports that the Italian club is following the player’s progress and could investigate the possibility of signing him in January.
The Slavia Prague midfielder is valued at about €10m and has a contract with the Czech champions until June 2029. Any move would therefore require Roma to negotiate with Slavia Prague over a transfer fee and the terms of a deal.
Moses started his European career in 2022, when he moved from Central Academy in Abuja, Nigeria, to Czech club MFK Karvina. He initially played for the club’s youth and reserve sides before progressing to the senior team.
That move marked the beginning of his development in European football, and he joined Slavia Prague in 2024. Since arriving at the club, Moses has helped them win two domestic titles, in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
He is primarily a central midfielder but can also play in a defensive midfield role. That versatility could provide Roma with additional tactical options if they decide to follow up their interest with a formal approach.
Moses has also had the opportunity to gain experience in European competition. He has made two appearances for Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League, featuring in a 2-0 defeat by Sabah and a 2-2 away draw against Fenerbahce.
His technical ability, adaptability and exposure to high-level European club football have made him a player Roma are reportedly assessing as they consider their midfield requirements. The Italian side could pursue the Nigerian international if it chooses to turn its interest into a formal transfer proposal.
