Ifeanyi Onyebuchi Optimistic About Plateau’s Chances Against Esperance
Plateau United defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi says his workforce is able to give the whole lot to make sure they make it to the profitable group stage of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
Ifeanyi, who joined the Peace Boys from the relegated MFM of Lagos, mentioned he and his colleagues have already set a goal for themselves which is the group stage of CAF’s apex membership competitors.
“Everyone knows what’s at stake in the intervening time. As a workforce, we’re working arduous to make sure that we realized our collective goal. We’re very focus and battle-ready for Esperance of Tunisia,” the defender enthused.
“Their pedigree within the competitors doesn’t scare us as we’re assured of overcoming them right here in Abuja and getting one other respectable lead to Tunis to get the job executed.” he added.
The cool-headed participant defined that with the efforts put in coaching to date and with the advise from their coaches, he’s optimistic Plateau United is heading in the right direction to guide their place within the group stage of the competitors.
He recommended the administration of the workforce headed by Basic Supervisor Pius Henwan for the welfare package deal put in place for the workforce and guaranteed that as gamers, they don’t seem to be going to let the workforce down.
Plateau United defeated Aso Stade Mandji of Gabon 3-2 on mixture to qualify for the second spherical preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.
The 2017 NPFL Champions will face Tunisian facet Esperance in a two legged tie for a spot within the group stage of the competitors.
The match comes up on Sunday, ninth October, 2022, on the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja with the return leg slated for Tunis the next week.
