Samuel Chukwueze opens LaLiga goal account in Villareal comeback win

Nigeria winger, Samuel Chukwueze ended his Spanish LaLiga goal drought on Saturday after scoring in Villarreal’s 2-1 win over Valencia.
The 23 year old winger who has provided a couple of assists in the ongoing campaign had find converting chances hard to come by.
He however banished that drought at El Madrigal Stadium when he scored with a last touch of the first half reaching to the end of a low cross from Gerard Moreno.
Chukwueze’s goal cancleled out Edison Cavani’s early goal for Valencia making both teams headed to the dugout with a goal a piece.
The hosts dug deep to take the lead early in the second half but had their chances fluffed by Moreno and Dani Parejo and Etienne Capoue.
With the match heading for a share of the spoils, Juan Foyth scored for Villarreal with minutes from time, heading Parejo’s in swinging corner past a distraught Valencia keeper, Mamardashvili.
Villarreal have now extended their unbeaten run at home to Valencia to six matches.
The victory lifts Villarreal to within one point of sixth-placed Real Betis, while Valencia remain without an away win against the Yellow Submarines in the league since January 2017.
The hosts have now garnered 24 points from 16 matches heading to their next game against champions Real Madrid at home.
