Ademola Lookman proud of his consistency and achievements

By: Saheed Afolabi

Nigeria playmaker Ademola Lookman has expressed immense pride in his recent successes, which have placed him among the top footballers in the world.

The 26-year-old winger has been in sensational form, playing a pivotal role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph over Bayer Leverkusen last season, where he made history as the first player to score a hat-trick in a European Cup final.

Lookman’s exceptional performances have not gone unnoticed, earning him nominations for prestigious individual awards such as the Ballon d’Or and the CAF Africa Player of the Year (APOTY), as well as being named Atalanta’s Player of the Season for two consecutive years.

His growth as a player has been remarkable, and the Super Eagles forward is delighted with the progress he has made.

“I have the confidence in my ability to create, to score goals, to help my teammates, to assist them,” Lookman told BBC. “In the past two years, I believe I have been able to take my game to a new level and show that on a more consistent basis.”

Lookman’s rise to prominence has been defined by his consistency on both the club and international stages.

His contributions to Atalanta have been instrumental, and his recent performances with Nigeria have only strengthened his reputation. As he continues to evolve as a player, Lookman is determined to maintain his high standards and build on his growing legacy in European football.

With his confidence and consistency, Lookman has firmly established himself as one of the brightest stars in African football, and his trajectory suggests even greater achievements are on the horizon.
