AFCON: Nigeria sweat on Stanley Nwabili fate for Angola quarterfinal clash

Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro has disclosed that on Wednesday will determine the fate of goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabili availability for the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) quarter final game against Angola on Friday.
Nwabili couldn’t complete the Eound of 16 game against Cameroon after he was on the receiving end of a nasty tackle and was eventually replaced by Francis Uzohor.
And Peseiro insists Nwabili is with the team as they hope on him been fit for the encounter against Indomitable Lions, stressing that the Eagles goalie will undergo a scan on Wednesday to arsetain his availability for selection.
“He (Nwabali) is with us, we are hoping he will be available for the game against Angola,” Peseiro told reporters.
“He will undergo another test on Wednesday. After that we will know whether he can play or not.”
The Super Eagles displaced ancient rivals Cameroon in the round of 16 of the AFCON to setup a last eight tie against Angola that denied Nigeria qualification to the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup.
