Alex Iwobi hits new Premier League height

Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi has reached a milestone in his Premier League career, surpassing his previous best goals tally during the 2018/19 season with former club Arsenal.

The 27-year-old showcased his scoring prowess once again as Fulham faced off against Wolves at Molineux, albeit in a 2-1 defeat.

Iwobi found the net in the dying moments of the game, scoring a late consolation goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time with an improvised right-footed strike from inside six yards.

This goal marked Iwobi’s sixth in all competitions for Fulham, signaling the most prolific campaign of his career thus far. During his time at Arsenal, he registered six goals and eight assists in 51 matches across all competitions.

However, with ten matches remaining in the 2023/24 season, the Super Eagles star has already surpassed his previous Premier League goal tally, notching his fifth goal of the season.

As Iwobi continues to shine on the pitch for Fulham, fans eagerly anticipate more standout performances from the talented Nigerian midfielder in the remainder of the season.
