Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi scored the decisive goal for Fulham in their 2-1 win over Leicester City in a English Premier League encounter on Saturday.

This victory marked Fulham’s first home win since the 2012/2013 season.

The match was a showcase of Arsenal alumni, with both of Fulham’s goals coming from players who previously emerged from the Gunners’ youth system.

Emile Smith Rowe, who recently joined Fulham from Arsenal, opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal set up by Adama Traore.

Leicester equalized before halftime when Wesley Faes headed in from a corner kick.

In the second half, Fulham manager Marco Silva made tactical changes, bringing on Harry Wilson and Tom Cairney to replace Traore and Smith Rowe.

The adjustments paid off as Wilson and Cairney combined in the buildup for Iwobi’s winning goal, which came from a well-executed team play.

This goal marks Iwobi’s first of the season, following a previous campaign where he scored five goals and provided two assists.
