Asisat Oshoala scores crucial goal in leading Bay FC over Seattle Reign

Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala scored the winning goal to help Bay FC to a 1-0 win against Seattle Reign in the National Women Soccer League encounter on Sunday.

Oshoala converted from the spot in the 27th minute at the Lumen Field, Seattle.

The former FC Barcelona player wrong-footed the goalkeeper with her spot kick.

The record African Women’s Player of the Year played the duration of the match to lift her team to the last season-ending Playoffs.

With 28 points after 22 games, Bay FC occupy the eighth position.

Oshoala has scored six goals with an assist in 21 games for Bay FC so far this season.

Her team will next face the former club of Ifeoma Onumonu and league winners, Gotham FC on October 6, 2024.
