Barcelona advised to sign Victor Osimhen

By Monsurah Olatunji

Former Turkish Super Lig forward Okan Koc has advised Spanish giant, FC Barcelona to trigger Victor Osimhen’s release clause and sign him away from Napoli.
Currently, on a season-long loan at Galatasaray, Osimhen has been linked with a move to several clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG.
The 26-year-old is one of the biggest talents available for sale but has a €75 million release clause with his parent club.
Although Italian side, Napoli has reportedly shown interest in selling the player as the January transfer approaches, Osimhen himself has made it clear that he intends to remain with Galatasaray until the end of his loan agreement.
Koc, who played for eight different Turkish clubs and turned pundit since retiring, believes the Blaugrana should be throwing their hat in the ring for the Nigerian ace.
“If I were Barcelona, I would buy Osimhen tomorrow,” Koc said.
“If important clubs in Europe pay 75 million euros, the players want to leave, but if Osimhen stays, it means there was not enough demand from there.”
Meanwhile, it is believed that the club will not make a significant investment in the position until 36-year-old Lewandowski’s contract expires in 2026.
