Amidst the transfer rumours linking Nigeria and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen to German Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich, chairperson Oliver Khan has reacted to the protracted deal.

Several sources have linked Osimhen to a move to the perennial German Bundesliga Champions ahead of next season given his impressive form at Napoli.

The former LOSC Lille forward has also been reportedly linked to PSG and Manchester United despite Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis insisting that the player is not for sale.

Another source claimed Bayern Munich could drop their bid to acquire the player given Napoli’s valuation of €150,000 on Osimhen.

“When it’s about such a fee, we have to ask the question: does the player give you a guarantee for this money?,” Khan told SportBILD.

“That would definitely be a big risk.”

Osimhen played an instrumental role in guiding Napoli to its first Scudetto in 33 years with 23 goals in 28 matches and four assists.

Meanwhile, the official Napoli radio station says club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is negotiating a new contract with Victor Osimhen’s agents.

Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli has a special deal with the club that gives them direct access and often provides information that is released in conjunction with the directors.

On Monday evening, it reported that De Laurentiis was having direct negotiations with Osimhen’s agents over a new contract after they won their first Serie A title in 33 years last Thursday.

The 24-year-old has a price tag of well over €100m and is on track to be crowned Capocannoniere with 23 goals in 28 Serie A appearances so far this season.
