Boston Legacy FC unveil Super Falcons striker Gift Monday

Boston Legacy FC have unveiled Super Falcons forward Gift Monday after completing her move from fellow National Women’s Soccer League side Washington Spirit.
The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Boston Legacy FC and will wear the number 22 shirt.
The club announced the signing on 6 October, with Washington Spirit reportedly set to receive a transfer fee of US$500,000. The deal also includes a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
Monday joined Washington Spirit from Spanish club UD Tenerife in March 2025 and quickly became one of the NWSL’s leading attacking players.
She made league history in September 2025 when she scored three times in 35 minutes and 52 seconds against Houston Dash. The treble remains the fastest hat-trick from kick-off in NWSL history.
During her spell with Washington Spirit, Monday scored 12 goals and supplied three assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Before moving overseas, the forward played for several Nigerian clubs, including COD United Amazons, FC Robo and Bayelsa Queens.
