CAFCC: Nigerian officials appointed for Dreams vs Zamalek clash in Kumasi
By Wale Mustapha
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as the Match Commissioner for the crucial Confederation Cup semi-final second-leg clash between Ghana’s Dreams FC and Egypt’s Zamalek.
Also joining the officiating team is another Nigerian, Chukwudi Callistus Chukwujekwu, who will serve as the referee assessor for the encounter.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana, on Sunday.
Dreams FC, despite being debutants in the competition, have shown remarkable performances, holding Zamalek to a goalless draw in the first leg in Cairo last weekend. The Ghanaian side boasts an unbeaten home record in the competition, with three wins and a draw.
With Dreams FC aiming to secure a spot in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup, the encounter promises to be intense. However, a score draw would see Zamalek progress to the final.
