Cyril Dessers’ dazzling strike earns Rangers’ Goal of the Month award

By Dayo Awoniyi

Rangers forward striker, Cyril Dessers, has been awarded the Club’s Goal of the Month for January in recognition of his outstanding performance.

The winning goal came during Rangers’ 2-1 UEFA Europa League defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Dessers showcasing his skill in the 83rd minute.

A long pass from captain James Tavernier set up the opportunity, and Dessers expertly controlled the ball before outwitting Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

With a deft touch of his left foot, he calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner, demonstrating both composure and precision.

This sensational strike is just the latest highlight in Dessers’ remarkable form, having scored five goals and provided two assists in his last five matches.

As Rangers prepares for their upcoming Scottish Cup fifth-round clash against Queen’s Park, Dessers’ award-winning goal serves as a testament to his vital role and contributions to the team.
