Leicester City manager, Endo Maresca has expressed relief and happiness to have Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi back to action after over three months injury.
The Super Eagles’ assistant captain featured for the Foxes for the first time since December helping them to beat Sunderland 1-0 on Tuesday.
Jamie Vardy scored the solitary goal in the 13th minutes to extend Leicester’s lead on the log to 12 points.
Maresca who hailed the team’s spirit in the win noted that Ndidi’s return has brought balance to the team’s midfield.
”I’m very happy, we need him, Wilf is so important to us and it’s good to have him back”, the coach told club’s official website after the match.
Up next for Leicester is another away trip against Hull City on Saturday.
