Eric Chelle to test new Super Eagles players at Unity Cup

By Wale Mustapha
Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has confirmed that the upcoming Unity Cup will provide an opportunity to assess new players and strengthen the squad.
The Super Eagles will compete alongside Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica in the 2025 edition of the tournament.
Chelle, who led the team during last month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, is keen to explore new player options for the national team.
“We are looking forward to the Unity Cup as it will give us the chance to try out a few new players in different roles,” Chelle told thenff.com.
“It will help us to strengthen our squad before the matches in September and October.”
The Unity Cup will take place from May 27 to May 31, 2025, at Gtech Stadium in Brentford, London.
