Erling Haaland jokes about actor getting ‘too close’ to his girlfriend in viral video

Erling Haaland appeared to play the role of a jealous boyfriend after seeing Italian actor Michele Morrone talking to his girlfriend, Isabel Johansen, in a video that has spread widely on social media.

The Manchester City striker was heard addressing the camera while Morrone and his companion were speaking with Johansen.

“Wait, wait, wait,” Haaland said.

He then added: “Not that close, not that close.”

The Norway international immediately followed the remarks with a broad smile, making it clear that he was joking rather than seriously objecting to the conversation.

The exchange was shown in a video published on Haaland’s YouTube channel, where Johansen regularly appears. The clip was later widely shared across social media, bringing attention to the striker’s playful reaction and his apparent attempt to portray himself as a protective or jealous partner.

According to The Sun, Morrone was seen talking with Johansen before Haaland intervened from behind the camera. The short interaction quickly became the focus of the video after the Manchester City forward delivered his mock warning.

Haaland’s smile after the comments provided the clearest indication of the tone of the moment. Rather than presenting a genuine confrontation, the footage showed the striker using humour while filming content for his personal channel.

The episode also highlighted Haaland’s continued work on YouTube, where his girlfriend appears regularly. He has maintained that side project ahead of the new Premier League season, adding to his activities away from Manchester City’s football commitments.

Although the incident was brief, the clip attracted significant attention because of Haaland’s unusual presentation as a “jealous boyfriend”. His public image is generally associated with his performances as one of Manchester City’s leading forwards, but the video offered viewers a more relaxed and playful glimpse of his personality.

The footage did not show any serious disagreement between those involved. Instead, Haaland’s exaggerated reaction, followed almost immediately by his grin, suggested that the exchange was intended as a light-hearted moment for the channel.

Morrone’s conversation with Johansen and Haaland’s comments have since become the central talking point from the video, with the striker’s phrase “Not that close, not that close” helping the clip gain traction online.

Haaland is now continuing his YouTube work before the start of the new Premier League season, with Johansen remaining a regular presence in his videos.
