Rangers hold off Bendel Insurance to maintain strong NPFL run

Enugu Rangers strengthened their position in the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a narrow 1-0 victory over Bendel Insurance in a rescheduled fixture.

Chidozie Iwundu scored the only goal of the match in the 47th minute, giving the home side a crucial advantage shortly after half-time.

Rangers, known as the Flying Antelopes, had to withstand pressure from the Benin Arsenal as Bendel Insurance searched for an equaliser. However, the hosts protected their lead through to the final whistle.

The result extends Rangers’ impressive form in the ongoing NPFL campaign and supports their pursuit of a strong finish to the season.
