“It’s difficult to keep Victor Osimhen” – Napoli president confesses amidst transfer bids

Napoli’s President Aurelio De Laurentiis, in a candid revelation, has thrown light on the transfer situation involving Victor Osimhen, acknowledging the interest from several top-tier clubs.
Victor Osimen is at the centre of a transfer whirlwind this summer, with the heat turning up due to the intense speculation surrounding his future.
The Nigerian international has been one of the best strikers in the world for the last two years after helping Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years with his 26 goals in 32 appearances for the club.
Although the reigning African Player of the Year signed a contract extension with the Scudetto winners late last year, he is still one of the most sought-after strikers in the world.
The Super Eagles star has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a transfer away from Naples in recent months with Chelsea and Arsenal monitoring his affairs.
However, De Laurentiis was quick to emphasize the challenges Napoli faces in retaining its stars amidst the allure of richer clubs.
“It’s hard to keep players when rich clubs want them,” he articulated, as reported by Fabrizio on X.
“Some players stay for many years, others are wanted by PSG, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea.
“I can confirm there’s a release clause, a very high one.”
