Kelechi Iheanacho sets Turkish football record with goals in 10 straight league games

Kelechi Iheanacho has become the first player in Turkish football to score in 10 consecutive professional league matches.
The Super Eagles forward reached the landmark after scoring twice away against Mugla, taking his total for the season to 14. He also supplied the assist for the final goal, bringing his number of assists to three.
Iheanacho’s achievement surpasses the previous record of nine successive scoring appearances, jointly held by Metin Oktay and Saffet Sancaklı.

The Nigerian’s latest goals against Mugla extended his scoring sequence to 10 professional league matches, establishing a new record in Turkish football.
His two-goal display also moved him to 14 goals, while his contribution to the final goal took his assist tally to three.
