Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan: Reading forward linked with move to Denmark’s AC Horsens

England/Nigeria forward Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan of Reading is being linked with a move to Danish Superliga side AC Horsens, with the League One club facing a decision over the 23-year-old’s future while he remains under contract.
Ehibhatiomhan, who is listed primarily as a left winger but also operates across the attack, is attracting interest from Horsens as they look to strengthen their options in the final third ahead of the new Superliga campaign. Any deal is likely to require a transfer fee, with the player valued at around €450,000 and tied to Reading until 30 June 2027.
Born in Benin City on 23 April 2003 and standing at 1.91m, Ehibhatiomhan offers an unusual physical profile for a wide attacker. A right-footed player comfortable starting from the left, he has worn the No 9 shirt for Reading since joining the first-team set-up on a longer-term basis in July 2023.
The winger, who holds both English and Nigerian nationality, has been part of Reading’s attempts to rebuild following their drop into League One, featuring in the club’s attack over the past season. His performances in the third tier have drawn attention from outside England, with Horsens viewing the move as an opportunity to add height and variety in wide areas.
Reading’s position is shaped by the length of Ehibhatiomhan’s current deal, which runs for another year after this season, giving the club some leverage in any negotiations should AC Horsens turn their interest into a formal offer.
