Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan: Reading winger linked with AC Horsens switch amid Danish interest

England and Nigeria-eligible forward Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan of Reading is attracting interest from Danish Superliga side AC Horsens in a potential summer move. The 23-year-old left winger, who is under contract at the League One club, has emerged as a candidate as the Danish side explore options to strengthen their attack.
Ehibhatiomhan, who was born in Benin City and represents Reading at club level, has developed into a senior figure at the Madejski Stadium after establishing himself in the first team. Standing at 1.91m and operating predominantly from the left flank while favouring his right foot, he offers a profile that differs from many wide players in the Danish top flight.
Any deal would require negotiations with Reading, with the forward tied to the club until 30 June 2027. His current estimated market value stands at around €450,000, a figure that is likely to shape the scale of any bid AC Horsens are prepared to make.
Ehibhatiomhan has been with Reading’s senior set-up since 2023 and wears the number 9 shirt, reflecting his status within the squad. A move to Denmark would represent his first venture into a top-flight European league, with Horsens viewing the English third tier as a potential market for physically robust attacking players.
Reading, balancing ambitions in League One with the need to manage their assets, face a decision on whether to cash in on the winger or keep him as part of their push over the remaining years of his deal. For now, Ehibhatiomhan remains contracted to the Berkshire club until the summer of 2027.
